Making Money from Your Talents, Hobbies and Interests
These are tough, tough economic times. We know that. But we have opportunities available to us that were not available to generations before. If you are unemployed, disabled, or a stay-at-home mom you have money-making opportunities at your fingertips, if your fingertips are touching the keyboard on your computer.
Nowadays you can find telecommute jobs for the disabled, or create a website and place Google ads, or do little jobs on Amazon’s MTurk, or sell your own stuff on Amazon or eBay, or earn a commission as an associate or an affiliate promoting products, or find a myriad of companies that offer money-making opportunities from the comfort of home, or companies that will help you establish your own little home business, like Avon.
Artistic creations are my thing. I love to write, compose songs, photograph the world around me, and design graphics. And it just so happens that there are sites like Cafe Press and Zazzle that survive on people like me. (It helps that I am a bit of a technology/computer geek, but you don’t need to be.)
Aside from hoping to make money from the songs I have been writing my whole life, I am hoping that my photography, my graphic designs, and my writing abilities will be more than just hobbies and interests, but money-making talents.
Bottom line, yes, you can make money from your artistic endeavors – graphic designs? photography? witty quips? Sure, you can put your many creative expressions on products and share them with the world and make a little side money, too. Here are some of the products on my Zazzle shop, which you can find at Blue Beach Song™ Shop or check out my website Blue Beach Song™.
